Our Commitment
ATeam Strategies + Relations, LLC ("ATeam") is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to ensure we provide equal access to all of our users.
Conformance Status
We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and more user-friendly for everyone. Conformance with these guidelines helps ensure that the Site is accessible to the broadest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability.
Measures We Have Taken
ATeam has taken the following measures to ensure the accessibility of our website:
- Semantic HTML: We use proper HTML elements (headings, landmarks, buttons, form labels) to ensure content is structured logically for assistive technologies.
- Keyboard Navigation: All interactive elements on the Site are accessible via keyboard. Users can navigate using Tab, Enter, Space, and Escape keys without requiring a mouse.
- ARIA Attributes: We use ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) roles, labels, and states to enhance the accessibility of dynamic content, including our navigation panels, contact forms, and modal dialogs.
- Skip Navigation: A "Skip to main content" link is provided at the top of every page, allowing keyboard users to bypass repetitive navigation.
- Text Alternatives: All meaningful images include descriptive alt text. Decorative images are marked with empty alt attributes or aria-hidden to prevent confusion for screen reader users.
- Color Contrast: We maintain sufficient color contrast ratios between text and background colors to meet WCAG AA standards.
- Responsive Design: The Site is designed to be usable on a wide range of devices and screen sizes, from mobile phones to desktop computers.
- Reduced Motion: The Site respects the "prefers-reduced-motion" operating system setting. When enabled, all animations, transitions, and auto-playing effects are disabled or minimized.
- High Contrast Support: The Site includes styles for users who prefer increased contrast, as well as support for Windows High Contrast Mode (forced-colors).
- Touch Accessibility: Interactive elements have adequate touch target sizes for users with motor impairments.
- Form Accessibility: All form fields have associated labels, appropriate input types and autocomplete attributes, and clear error messaging.
- No-JavaScript Fallback: Core content remains visible even when JavaScript is disabled.
- Print Styles: The Site includes print-specific styles for users who need to print content.
Assistive Technology Compatibility
Our Site is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:
- Screen readers (including NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, and TalkBack).
- Screen magnification software.
- Speech recognition software.
- Keyboard-only navigation.
- Switch access and alternative input devices.
Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, we acknowledge the following limitations:
- Background Videos: The decorative background videos on our Political and Corporate pages do not include captions or audio descriptions, as they are purely decorative (muted, no spoken content) and do not convey information not available elsewhere on the page.
- Third-Party Content: Some third-party content or services embedded on the Site (such as Cloudflare Turnstile security verification) may not fully conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We continuously monitor third-party integrations and work with providers to improve accessibility.
- PDF Documents: If any PDF documents are linked from the Site, they may not be fully accessible. We are working to ensure all documents meet accessibility standards.
